Hotel Astrid – home from home in the Austrian Alps

No prizes for guessing who the Hotel Astrid is named after! Astrid can be found anywhere and everywhere in the hotel, helping out wherever necessary and making sure guests have everything they need. In the little time she has off she enjoys hiking in the mountains and spending time with her many grandchildren.

Husband Herbert was born and raised right here in the Glemmtal Valley. Friendly, fun and always good for a chat, he knows the region inside out and will be happy to give you some ideas on the best things to see and do during your stay. He also enjoys helping out in the restaurant and kitchen as well as taking guests on guided bike rides into the mountains.

Junior Boss Stefan is a born host with his warm and humorous personality. As Head of Kitchen, he is responsible for the culinary delights at Hotel Astrid and impresses guests with down-to-earth, creative dishes. But that's not all – in the summer, he also works as a certified bike guide! His daughters, Valentina and Magdalena, are regularly seen at the hotel.

By his side is Marlies, who coordinates the service at Saalbach 626, handles the check-in, and brings fresh ideas to the hotel’s social media. Growing up in Viehhofen, she knows the ski area inside out and offers valuable insider tips. With her warm personality, she plays a key role in the success of the team and is a true asset.

From running the reception to managing bookings, from answering the phone to helping guests with any questions – Bianca is an allrounder whose dedication and hard work make things run like clockwork. She is also a mother to three (!) wonderful children – Jonas, Lea and Fini – supported by her husband Stefan, who is always happy to help out if and when  he is needed.
