Hotel Astrid – home from home in the Austrian Alps

No prizes for guessing who the Hotel Astrid is named after! Astrid can be found anywhere and everywhere in the hotel, helping out wherever necessary and making sure guests have everything they need. In the little time she has off she enjoys hiking in the mountains and spending time with her many grandchildren.

Husband Herbert was born and raised right here in the Glemmtal Valley. Friendly, fun and always good for a chat, he knows the region inside out and will be happy to give you some ideas on the best things to see and do during your stay. He also enjoys helping out in the restaurant and kitchen as well as taking guests on guided bike rides into the mountains.

Astrid and Herbert's son, Stefan, is head chef and is set to take over at the Hotel Astrid whenever his parents decide to step aside. He enjoys his role in the kitchen, where together with his team he whips up hearty and healthy food inspired by the local region. In summer he finds time to accompany guests on guided bike rides into the mountains.

From running the reception to managing bookings, from answering the phone to helping guests with any questions – Bianca is an allrounder whose dedication and hard work make things run like clockwork. She is also a mother to three (!) wonderful children – Jonas, Lea and Fini – supported by her husband Stefan, who is always happy to help out if and when  he is needed.
